Ulysses the Champion

Ulysses the Champion

Ulysses the champion,
Upon the ageless main,
Sailing to oblivion,
Enveloped by the rain.

Clouds tremendous overhead,
The wind prodigious wild,
Petrified and nearly dead,
By storminess beguiled.

Tethered to the wooden mast,
Presented to the test,
Unto sly seduction cast,
By siren song caressed!

Saccharin, melodious,
Anon, the rising lilt!
But the spirits odious,
With venom to the hilt!

Prithee, swim away to us!
Depart thy sullen craft!
Ecstasy without a fuss!
And pleasure fore and aft!

Mark, the shapeliness ye seek!
Presented to thine eye!
Titillating, winsome meek!
And lovely to espy!

Prepossessing milky breasts!
Thy fantasies ablaze!
Freedom from thy lonely quests!
And succour for thy days!

Swim away upon the tide!
And tarry with our clan,
Serenaded, warm inside,
A mollycoddled man!

Bliss upon thee every morn!
Till setting of the sun,
Into satisfaction borne,
And pulchritude to stun.

Ulysses impervious,
Unheeding of the song,
All the words luxurious,
The promise to belong.

Beeswax set inside his ears,
And deafness to the tune,
Guardedness from bitter fears,
Of dying by a swoon.

Ithaca to draw me home!
Across the ageless main!
Speeding in the golden gloam!
Enveloped by the rain!
