The Endless Wheel
The endless wheel in spinning zeal,
Devoid of solace or appeal,
In colours whirling on surreal,
The visions an ordeal…
The firmament in spreading red,
With brimstone set above my head,
The overhanging shapes of dread,
To outer darkness wed!
The monsters of the underworld,
Into a rank perdition hurled,
Bereft in fetid cages curled,
Egregiously unfurled!
The pacing of the lions paw,
The hippogriff’s unsightly claw,
The wights from a pelagic shore,
An undepleted store!
The conflagration licking high!
Tis desolation meets the eye!
Proceeding on to surely die,
Beneath the horrid sky!
The burning of the smoky pyre,
The bodies set amongst the fire,
The sickly plumes ascending higher,
Damnation the desire!
The turning of the blackened core,
Satanic agents stealing more,
Degeneration I deplore!
A warped and hellish score!
The endless wheel, abysmal real!
The soul and very heart to steal!
The living and the dead the meal!
The ghosts of Adam squeal!
