Slaughtered
Slaughtered on the altar,
And bereft in endless time,
Condemned withal,
A hopeless pall,
The lambs in death sublime.
Dismembered on the altar,
And in paroxysmal pain,
The guillotine,
A silent scream,
And naught of hope remain.
The spiral to perdition,
And a whirling twist below,
Adamic loss,
Brings hellish dross,
A cataclysmic blow.
The slaughter is prodigious,
And not one may stand again,
The weight of fear,
Sings so austere,
A dank Bermuda drain.
Paralysis and silence,
For the deathly core within,
The bloody shapes,
The mouth that gapes,
A soporific spin.
The hand that raised the dagger,
Bitter Lilith spruiking glee,
The lands of hell,
Can never dwell,
Where righteous God should be.
The blood spills on forever,
For the sacrifice is done,
The lambs that were,
Cannot infer,
The brightness of the sun.
