Serenading the Full Moon π
Strum the harp in ardour and sing praise!
Reverence the moon as though a god!
Sing with all thy gusto neath the rays,
Spilling o’er the lake and on the sod.
Bring thy adoration and thy joy,
Lose thyself in ecstasy and song,
Every note a charismatic ploy,
Rousing us to empyrean throng.
All the reeds and rushes are in sway,
Swooning with thy melodies divine,
Light from off the moon as gold as day,
Rich withal, magnificently fine.
All the water’s silvery disguise,
Built from merry moonlight gifted free,
All the grace of heaven gluts our eyes,
Such an enigmatic fulgency.
Praise again the pulchritude on high!
Praise the silent midnight speaking bliss,
Such a transcendental lullaby,
Such a sweet intoxicating kissβ¦
