The Sea’s Phantasmal Tapestry
The sea’s phantasmal tapestry,
With waves in dancing white,
The thunderclouds in silver shrouds,
Throw rain drops in delight.
The sea, Poseidon’s dreamy keep,
A palace formed in grey,
The ships that glide upon the tide,
Do homage from the bay.
The pallete of the ocean’s art,
Is perfectly austere,
The darksome greys in blinding rays,
From sunbeams hitting clear.
The schooners know perfected bliss,
The mainsails rippling keen,
The sailor’s boon the tidal moon,
And trade winds blowing clean.
The elements’ symphonic sound,
An overwhelming noise,
The airs that blow in fearsome flow,
Sing rage above the buoys.
Time lost ships and craft below,
Dejected on the sand,
With jetsam stuff strewn at the bluff,
And drift wood on the strand.
The rainbow forms in triumph,
Gifting soft prismatic light,
God’s holy hand in breadth so grand,
A satisfying sight…
