The Olympic Spirit of the Sun (Och)
Blazing light — a puissant pair!
The twofold suns command the air,
The leftmost sun the active ray,
The right hand one but passive play.
Death so black, with life in white,
Such awesomeness beyond our sight,
The masterful Olympic sun,
Astounding bright and apt to stun.
And with the merger of the two,
A wedding knit in astral blue,
The powers double in one sheen,
In vigour shining on the green.
The sunlight cleansing and so pure,
The strength affords such fixed allure,
Awaken unto Och, he sings!
In booming voice, a king of kings.
The headless figure rendered new,
Invested with a sacred hue,
A luminosity from space,
The solar zenith roars apace!
Completion in a glut of light,
Completion wrought by Och in might,
The magic of the solar stream,
Invested in our human dream…
