Heaven Victorious
Heaven victorious,
Sacred and glorious,
Standing in triumph,
In raiment of cloud.
Almost vainglorious,
Yet meritorious,
Solar resplendence—
A deity’s shroud.
Vistas arboreus,
Daylight uproarious,
Beaming in vigour,
So perfectly proud.
Loud and stentorious,
Brave and notorious,
Speaking of Christ,
In a fanfare so loud!
