Stars in their Mystery
Stars in profusion,
Mysterious deeps,
A silver infusion,
As my body sleeps,
Miraculous — such a diffusion,
Showered from heavenly keeps.
Clouds hanging lazy,
On canvassing black,
Silvery, hazy,
Like smoke from a stack,
I am forlorn and nigh crazy,
Draped in a robe, on my back.
Curses like honey,
That stick to my soul,
Warfare for money,
Beyond my control,
Memories jumbled so funny,
Fall to my bottomless hole.
Ravenous longing,
Enshrouding my world,
Demonic thronging,
From Hades unfurled,
Sad and bereft of belonging,
Far from the heaven I’m hurled.
Lilys and flowers,
Amazingly fine,
Sweeten the hours,
With perfume divine,
Roused by the wintertime showers,
Sprouting so gay on the vine.
Wild morning glories,
In tenderness placed,
Gaia’s new stories,
Like virgins so chaste,
Heaven in hell’s territories,
Brightening visions of waste…
