Steal away upon the gloaming!
With the faery kindred roaming!
With the glittered heaven doming,
All the shadowed woods below.
Faery out of Danaan slipping,
Bright upon the forest skipping,
With the comets spryly dipping,
Lanterns in a dotted glow.
Hark, the Danu softly singing!
With a bliss of magic bringing,
Under sickle moonlight swinging,
Such an effervescent show.
Steal away, forever dancing,
Under heaven’s soft romancing,
With the sprites of summer prancing,
In a paradisic flow.
Owls upon the aether hooting,
Morrigan the brave saluting,
Pan upon the meadow fluting,
Reveries reversing woe…
Steal away in circles winding,
In a soporific binding,
Levity of spirit blinding,
Like a silky undertow.
Otherworldly magic waking,
Such a merry undertaking,
Laughter in abundance making,
Such a beauty to bestow.
