Earth and Sky
Earth and sky enamored,
In a sunlit silver sheen,
Barren pine like scarecrows,
In a wilderness of green.
Clouds like heaven’s hallways,
Set resplendent in the sun,
Singing to forever,
And forever apt to stun.
Fish in playful vigour,
Darting underneath the lake,
Life in sweet abundance,
In the bliss that fairies make.
Rocks in inert wisdom,
And the earth in moistened mirth,
Rousing reeds and flowers,
In a never ending birth.
Conifers in silence,
Under airs of earthy smell,
Grass in brimming rapture,
Caught in nature’s heady spell.
Earth and sky emblazoned,
With Jehovah’s awesome style,
From the long horizon,
Every whisper dost beguile.
Shimmering reflections,
And the imprint of beyond,
In this land invested,
From the tadpole to the frond.
Earth and sky together,
In an intimate romance,
Courting and carousing,
In an evanescent dance.
