Black As Pt II

Black As Pt. II

Black as the silence of desolate oceans,
Black as the midnight that captures the day,
Black as the morning, with prayer and devotions,
Black as the hollow where owls hide away.

Black as the loneliness stealing our future,
Black as the fall to a loveless abyss,
Black as the blood crusted into the suture,
Black as the lips of a demonic kiss.

Black as the lake in the snow in the mountain,
Covered in stars and the sacrosanct moon,
Black as the raven who bathes in the fountain,
Black as the heartbreak that steals me so soon.

Black as the travesty visions of weeping,
Sent from the homes of the people at war,
Black as the ravenous wind when I’m sleeping,
Cloaked in a winter of bloodshed and gore.

Black as the lands of the stars in profusion,
Black as the cliffs so enormous and grand,
Black as the fever pitch pall of confusion,
Black as the ash out of hellfire fanned.

Black as the eels that swim in the river,
Black as the berry that hangs on the twig,
Black as the doom that this curse will deliver,
Black as the roots of the Morton bay fig.

Black as the nasty infirmity spinning,
Black to the mind is our perilous road,
Forces of darkness so wantonly winning,
Carrying souls to a hellish abode.
