Autumn Dreaming
Autumn is dreaming a pallette of red—
Orillia forest in burgundy spread,
Birch in adornment of ochre and brown,
Leaves a monarchical crown.
Maple resplendent in awesome array,
Sunlight proclaiming the joy of the day,
Flame is the aspect beguiling mine eye,
Under the watch of the sky.
Hemlock and fir are alive in the scene,
Sporting their raiment of orange pristine,
Spreading their branches to herald the time—
Autumn in splendour sublime.
