Tumbledown Aeons

The Tumbledown Aeons

Destitute Adam decaying in earth,
Tumbledown aeons, a harrowing dearth,
Soaked in the blood of the innocents lost—
Oh such a terrible cost.

Legions of angels alone and bereft,
Old Adam’s weight — such a terrible heft,
Now but a corpse, the abode of the dead,
Into the black we have fled…

Onerous karma increasing in ire,
Cities in terror as killings transpire,
Rumours of war whispered into the day,
Rockets to light the affray.

Look at the holy land — seething anon,
Ravenous factions competing then gone,
Blown to oblivion, blasted beyond,
Oh such a cause to despond.

Under the lithosphere, rooted in ground,
Ancient dismay may be fathomed and found,
All of the magical curses that rose,
Out of the hell that we chose.

Tumbledown aeons span into the night,
Raw are my eyes at the perilous sight,
Praying to God though His patience be gone;
Endurance so weary and wan.
