I am the Crab
I am the crab in the ocean,
A desert of sand is my home,
Love, like a light house in motion,
Shining wherever I roam.
Golden the luscious effulgence,
Housed in my treasure chest heart,
My brand of love sings indulgence—
Lavish the joy I impart!
I am the crab, just tremendous,
Batter me — I am inert,
Housed in my armour stupendous,
Keeping my spirit from hurt.
I am the crab and I’m jealous,
My kith and my kin are my place,
Suddenly made overzealous,
Swerving anon to disgrace.
I am the crab and I’m eating!
Food is my artistic mode,
Cooking with zest at our meeting,
Guiding you through my abode.
I am the crab and I’m testy,
Angry sometimes at my style,
You might be speedy and zesty,
My movement takes me a while.
I am the crab full of clutter,
Things from the past stay quite long,
Even the words that you utter,
Glitch in my ear like a song.
I am the crab and I’m raunchy,
Dirty and prurient too,
I don’t mind flabby or paunchy,
I’ll take to the bedroom with you!
I am the crab telepathic,
Sensitive unto a fault,
Water — it makes me empathic,
Here in my ocean of salt.
I read the mind as though brail,
Sensing the scope of your soul,
My second sight will not fail—
Seen from my watery shoal.
I am the crab and I’m sobbing,
Wearing my badges of pain,
Injuries hurting and throbbing,
Angst melding into disdain.
I am a fount of compassion,
Willing to feel what you feel,
Honest and caring my fashion,
Helping your spirit to heal.
I am the crab, dank and dingy,
Darkness is often my lair,
But with my love I’m not stingy,
Rising with passion and flair.
I am the crab in the shallows,
Sitting in lonesome estate,
Cross me — you’ll swing from the gallows,
Love me and I’ll be your mate!
