Down the Track

Down the Track

Down the track — surveilling future time,
Tracks in parallel, to endless night,
Occult blinders paralyse my sight,
Praying for the prick of hope sublime.

Down the track — a cataclysmic storm,
Marked by fear and loneliness in flood,
Cold the twinge that haunts my very blood,
Cold the ghosts that know me in a swarm.

Down the track — in hellish bunkers quashed,
Gripping to the handhold barb of hell,
Reified in hardness for a shell,
As the heaven under hell is squashed.

Down the track — the hate of Christ is real,
Since we cannot know His span of love,
Wider than the heavens spread above,
Falling into hell’s eternal wheel.

Down the track — the journey smashes more,
Heaven caving into hell’s abyss,
Death in wryness blows his deathly kiss,
Sheol is our pre-Adamic shore.

Down the track — the well pool sinks right through,
Waters bursting into starry deeps,
As our high creator softly weeps,
Crystal tears from heaven, shed anew.

Down the track — the coral reef bites sharp,
Brittle spears to slay the voice of peace,
Sent forever into hell’s dank lease,
Jetsams rejects scattered on the scarp…
