Hellowe’en

Hallowe’en

All hallows eve, the parted veil,
The spirits of the dead commune as one,
Summoned o’er darkened dale,
Here below a bloody twilight sun.

Scorpio and Libra blaze—
Puissant signs that know an occult edge,
Through this month, with fever craze,
An axe struck into heaven like a wedge.

Pouring out the souls of time,
The alpha and omega span of God,
Spirits howl in darkened rhyme;
Winged spectres, ghouls as black as sod.

Cauldron magic — witches dance,
Under ochre beams of fullest moon,
Circles conjure dark romance;
Satan’s minions celebrate and swoon!

Pentacles and crypograms,
Traced with sharpened nails in ouija skill,
Feasts of fruit and deviled hams,
Known in excess; gluttony the thrill!

Cats that walk in silent pace,
Underneath the clamour of the sky,
Covens housed in outer space,
Wheeling through the heavens by and by.

Summoning the beast again!
Babylon is blazing with new cheer,
Mesmerisimg guileless men,
Harnessing their energy and fear.

Spirits of the dead awake,
Borne in hearts by crystal second sight,
Worship hell — all must partake!
All hallows eve, a paroxysmal night!

Bring thine brother, sister too,
Feasting with the dead will not abate,
Throw thy caution far from view,
And run in wickedness from heaven’s gate…
