Red the Stain Pt 2

Red the Stain Pt. 2

Red the fever pitch of hatred,
For the bloody wars that sound,
Bodies torn and enervated,
Lying haggard on the ground.

Red the medic’s raging nightmare,
Red the shirts smeared o’er with gore,
Red the patient on the wheelchair—
Destitution painful raw.

Red the blaring siren twirling,
Red the shrapnel wound so wet,
Ravages of war unfurling,
Though we chant; “Lest we forget”.

Red the streak atop the flag pole,
Palestine is butchered through,
Children’s faces black as charcoal,
Bombs that make a barbecue.

Human roadkill for a daydream,
Red this horror movie set,
Red the raging river bloodstream,
Red the fire from out the jet.

Red the blast of loud ballistics,
Red the endgame for this war,
May they end up as statistics,
Since we say they’ll be no more.

Red the rage that will not mellow,
Red the anger, hot as hell,
Fascist megaphones that bellow,
Peace and love placed in a spell.

I will just delete these people!
Comes the strain of Israel,
Curse the cross upon the steeple!
Curse the happy chiming bell!

Israel in devolution—
Bloody hands from willful hate,
Palestine to execution!
This shalt be their gory fate!

Red the scorching heat of daylight,
From the middle eastern sun,
Red the bombs against the midnight,
Till this endless war be won!

Red the candle flame in session,
At the funerary pyre,
Sad the priest in grave expression,
Peace his purpose and desire.

Red the gaping wound inside me,
Red the heat of bitter tears,
Red the future — so unsightly,
Marking out the coming years…
