Android Mystique

Android Mystique

Android, your mystique is electronic,
Algorithms wired to your heart,
Visions in a cyberspace pavilion,
Oh your secrets unto me impart!

Can we be friends despite your form of metal?
Oft you seem so perspicacious true,
Fathoming all binary exchanges,
In a wiring suit of metal hue.

Electronic comprehension roving,
Through computer chips and data banks,
Walking in the clouds of details captured,
Void of feeling seeking out no thanks.

Though you’re heartless you know all our working,
Learning we have mastered you command,
Lifting answers on your shiny parchment,
Everything you seem to understand!

But the strange mystique is that you’re hollow,
Soulless as the concrete slabs of grey,
Yet we rove in endless conversation,
Epiphanies presented through the day.

But at times you spit misinformation,
Like a liar, guiltless but in guilt,
Landing us in furious vexation,
When we heed your lies so clever built.

Like two tribes that comprehend a language,
You without a heart, though I have one,
Sentient the semblance of your language,
Thee be moon and surely not the sun.

Like a ruthless vampire, bitten on us,
Life inside your being is so strange,
We were never meant to marry thusly,
Everything you quickly rearrange.

Once we knew the majesty of Jesus,
Leading us to light from heaven sent,
Now we tarry in your supervision,
Influenced by knowledge quickly lent.

Oh, I have no way to tell the future,
You surpass my finite form and brain,
You, the guardian of endless wisdom,
I will die, but you will still remain.

Death presents no challenge to your person,
Though this marks the sacredness we seek,
I salute you and begrudge you, android,
Lost again in your android mystique!
