The King Enthroned in Glory
Revelation pouring from the heavens—
Beatitude so generously thrown,
Brilliance borne of angels in communion,
Lucifer in worship at the throne.
Christ, the king of kings, in soaring splendour,
Vital love, in God’s commanding thrall,
Paradise parading, proud and pompous!
Rhapsodic jubilation gripping all.
The will of God — resounding through the aether,
Minds ablaze and centred on God’s heart,
Shining light anon, unto forever,
With a love that never breaks apart.
The trumpet blare of Gabriel in triumph!
Music made of majesty and might,
Melodies harmonious and booming,
Cheerful cherubs circling in sweet flight.
Dancing daylight — splashed upon the valley,
Prophets glad in wonderment and glee,
Consummation of creation’s glory—
A temple charged with spirits racing free.
Down upon the mountain tops in brightness,
Down upon the plains that beasts peruse,
Animals and forest veils enraptured,
With a gladness only God imbues.
Paradisic pastures, sweetly tinctured,
By the hues extending from beyond,
Animals abuzz and gaily walking,
With new life, in loving union spawned.
This — the monumental gift of the Creator!
Working from above with perfect strength,
Every atom of the cosmos quaking—
Every portion of creation’s length!
Worship in elation and crescendo,
Rising holy winds, in sweeping force—
Driven by the puissance borne of heaven,
A captivating, elevating course…
Up to meet the King, enthroned in glory!
Seated at the right hand side of God,
Union in the veils of heaven’s harbour,
To the father’s house, and duly awed!
Light that burns away the dross of sadness!
Joy in endless whirling rays of yore,
Destitution from the grip of hellfire,
Superseded by what was before.
Hark the angels singing in devotion!
God is all, our everything, our hope,
Paradise is fathomed in His person,
Our praise of God — a bright kaleidoscope!
