The Bright and Morning Star
Spy above the highest heaven,
Brightening the welkin dome,
Christ the master builder walking,
In His bright celestial home,
Paradisic, starlit pastures,
Spread unto to infinity,
Draped in lovely curtain moonlight,
Shrouding His divinity,
Smile awhile as He remembers,
Every cherished part of you,
Noting your bright prayers with gladness,
As you tarry in His view,
Lucifer, the light filled angel,
Sings again within the choir,
Every church a beaming beacon,
Every heart a flaming fire,
Worshipping in jubilation,
Scores of faithful souls awake,
Flocking to the blazing chorus,
Freed from every worldly ache,
Radiant and ever beaming,
Christ on high the leader fair,
Turning dark to light with swiftness,
Deliverance from earthly care,
Christ the rock, the truth of ages,
The promise of eternity,
Manifesting His dominion,
Via the church fraternity,
Rise to seek the light of heaven,
Dazzling through the crystal air,
Bringing you to true communion,
As the rapture’s brought to bear,
Every clinging shell of sadness,
Like a cast off skin will go,
Jettisoned, like needless rubbish,
Replaced by futures bright as snow,
Feel the thrill of mountains crumbling,
Set aside by God’s strong hand,
Every soul in brave crescendo,
Through the ages God has planned,
Every hope again is marching,
Every promise coming true,
Every prophecy and fancy,
Bravely soaring into view…
